We are dedicated to empowering individuals to train their dogs to the highest standards, ensuring they can confidently and harmoniously accompany their furry companions in public places and spaces whenever necessary and appropriate.
Our Purpose
Our primary focus is to offer comprehensive training and support to owner-trained assistance dogs and their handlers, granting them access to a standardised organisation equipped to provide specific public access training and broader assistance.

- Boost Confidence. The non-judgmental presence of therapy dogs can boost self-esteem and confidence, encouraging students to overcome challenges.
Our Tailored Program
Kent Canine Academy offers a specially tailored program for schools, designed to seamlessly integrate therapy dogs into the educational setting. Our team of expert trainers will work closely with school administrators, teachers, and students to create a harmonious and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Empowering through Paws & Hearts
What's included:
We offer a 12-month course which includes:
- An initial assessment to see if your dog meets the criteria for becoming a therapy dog.
- If successful you will be placed on a 10-week training course whereby we shall train the dog in various aspects and at the end of the course your dog will be reviewed to ensure it meets all the elements of becoming a therapy dog.
Fees:
- £75 initial assessments (payable at least 48hrs prior to the assessment date)
- £50 a month for training sessions during the training period, payable on the 1st of each month
- £40 a month ongoing support and advice
